A reminder to get your entries for OCBC4 AND Redemption in by Friday, September 25th, 11:59 PST!
There will be NO extensions this time, so get cranking!

OCBC 4 ROUND TWO! Upon reading the last rounds, a very similar plotline was found throughout most of them - the most common meet, fight, win setup found in most OCT settings. For this round, the judges will be encouraged to award creative plotting the most for this. Remember -
your opponent's character does NOT need to be defeated in any way within the plot of the comic. There is no "required victory" rule for this contest. So pay attention to your
settings (avoid blank white backgrounds), your
dialog (avoid "he's fast, but I'm faster!"), and your
resolution - (avoid beating your opponent's character into a pulp and letting that resolve the comic).
So, in short, although it's not a stipulation that you avoid the [opponents meet, opponents fight, artist's character wins] formula, we're strongly encouraging thinking outside the box for this round in particular.

REDEMPTION
Redemption is a chance for
the OCBC participants who lost or forfeited their matches in the first round OR
newcomers to the competition with a ref and an introduction (check the FAQ) to enter into the THIRD round of the main OCBC contest.
It is held in the form of a contest between all of the participants. Depending on the amount of participants advancing and the quality of the redemption rounds, anywhere from one to three people may gain a spot in the main tournament again and another chance at victory.
Be aware that none may advance if the quality of the entries does not match that of a normal entrant - i.e., scribbling a few pages to gain an easy ticket in late in the game will not pass muster - so remember to give it your all like you would if you were in the actual competition.
For this round of redemption, you must create a comic with your character based on the theme of
escape. Although it is traditional to feature your fellow redemption participants in these rounds, it is not required. You may also use the OCBC NPCs if you wish.
Just like the main tournament round, remember, that you do not need to show victory - or even have your character escape something - as long as 'escape' is shown in some form, whether it be a physical or emotional interpretation. Be creative!
The entries for redemption are due at the same time as Round Two, which is Friday, September 25th, 11:59 PST.

"Indomitable" doesn't mean never having been broken! It denotes one.. Who stands up, even after being broken!

Commissions always open. Big or small, I'll give it my best.
So, basically, Goodluck~!
Damn, that's lame. I'd suggest you note him to make sure he knows//isn't forfeiting. Otherwise stop by the chat sometime and see what Ash would want to do about that. (or note her, ocbc doesnt get checked that often)
